Easy Tandoori Marinade


500-600g chicken (e.g. wings, drumsticks or cubed chicken breast)
Marinade ingredients
Yoghurt 2 heaped tablespoons
3 teaspoons tandoori masala powder
1 tablespoon cooking oil
salt 1/2 tsp (to taste)
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder 1 tsp (to taste)
Garam masala 1/2 tsp
Soya sauce 1 tbsp
2 garlic cloves (finely grated) or paste
10g ginger (finely grated) or paste
Red food colouring (optional)


Mix all the ingredients in a bowl except chicken until smooth, then add chicken, stir well and leave to marinate for at least 3 hours, overnight for best results.

The marinated chicken can then be placed onto the skewers and then cooked in the tandoor.
